Keynote for iPad transitioning video before it ends

I am putting together a presentation on Keynote for iPad and I'm having trouble with the transitions during a video. I have a video, around 2m 55s long, and around half way through the transition kicks in and the next slide pops up. The delay for the transition doesn't go as long as 2m 55s so I'm a bit stuck on what to do to make sure the entire clip plays. Any suggestions?
